
The District 1199C Training & Upgrading Fund is a labor-management partnership dedicated to: Under the Fund’s leadership, participating employers and District 1199C plan and implement education and upgrading activities which provide career advancement opportunities to current employees and provide entry level opportunities through backfilling of open positions.
The Fund provides access to the full spectrum of life skills, high school and post secondary education along multiple career pathways for incumbent workers, dislocated workers, prospective workers and community residents. As a healthcare sector initiative, the Fund also provides leadership in creating and sustaining industry partnerships of regional employers, institutions of higher learning, school districts, community based organizations, advocacy groups, and government agencies.
