
It is never too late to brush up your basic academic skills or continue your high school education at the Breslin Learning Center.
This department operates part time day, evening,and weekend programs designed to provide adult students with the opportunity to learn the basic academic skills necessary to obtain a high school credential and to be prepared for the workforce. You can also take advantage of high school refresher classes, or prepare for admission to nursing, allied health and college programs.
All programs require that you participate in the agency assessment before enrolling. The agency assessment is an open assessment and you may attend without an appointment.
Agency Assessment Dates
Completing your high school diploma increases your employment and promotion opportunities. At the Breslin Learning Center we offer two programs: GED Prep and the Adult Diploma Program
GED Prep Program
This is a program for those who have not completed high school but want to take the GED examination.
Adult Diploma Program
Designed for highly motivated adults over 21, this program allows students to demonstrate their abilities through a series of tasks and projects. The ADP is approved by both the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the School District of Philadelphia.
Students
receive a Philadelphia School District diploma.

Pre-Nursing/Allied Health
A program that includes reading, writing, mathematics and science to prepare students for entering vocational and collegiate programs.
